The Purpose

We are about to start a month long math unit where we will be introducing number line jumping as a way to solve math equations. The purpose of this site is to provide a fun way to explore number lines and discover how they can used to solve addition and subtraction equations. Spartan Stadium Math is an inquiry based Webquest, where students can explore a new concept then generate new ideas and questions prior to starting a new unit.

Objectives

After completing the tasks and exploring the resources on this website, you and your partner will discover how a football field (if thought of as a number line) can be used to help us solve addition and subtraction equations.
